The Inventory and how to use whats in it

Quest Item

During your adventures you will find item that are marked as Quest Items. These items are special in a way that you can not remove these items during your adventures. Each of these items has a special purpose and might be need to move on in a level. When they are used for there purpose they will ether be remove from the heros inventory or change from a quest item to a normal item.


Bows

Bows are any range weapons and contain both normal bows and slings and sling shots. A bow as a number of arrows or stones that can be used to hit the enemy. When a bow is equipped the hero can use it by pressing 1 during combat. The hero will then have to select a target by pressing 1 to 5 to indicated which enemy. When there is no more arrows or stones left the hero can no longer use the bow until he has found some more ammonition.


Spell Book

By pressing the left softkey and selecting the spellbook option the hero will be able to see a list of known spells to the hero. The spellbook can contain 5 spells. The hero can see details about each spell as well as delete one that is no longer required. When learning a new spell the hero will have the option to remove a known spell if the spellbook is full.


Spells

To use magic in combat the hero must press 3 instead of attacking. A list of possible spells will be shown. The hero can then select one of them and if a target is required he will have to press 1 to 5 to indicate the enemy he wish to aim the spell at.


Magic Items

Magic items can ether be permanent or temporaty items.

Permanent items

Permanent items are items like swords, armors & rings. They are automaticly used when equipped. If they are not equipped the hero do not gain benifit from them.

Temporary items

Temporary items are items like potions, scrolls, spell rings & wands. Each item has a number of charges that is used to create spell effects. When it reach 0 charges if will be destroyed and removed from your inventory. To use a temporary item the hero need to select the item, then press use and then leave the inventory to the combat map. If the item need a target the hero will have to select a target by pressing 1 to 5. The hero can only use one Temporary items in each combat round with the exception of healing and magic restoration potions.


Scrolls

Scrolls contain spells and when used the hero trys to learn the spell on it. The hero can only learn spells of a level equal or lower than his current spell level.


Potions

There exists two types of potions. Restoration potions and Spell potions

Restoration potions:

Restoration potions are potions that can be used to restore ether health or magic. The hero can use as many as the hero wish in a combat round.

Spell Potions

Spell potions simulates a spell and only a single one can be used in combat round. This item count as a temporary item.
